Mid-afternoon saw me inebriated and our group being challenged by a patrol of those genetic abominations. One of these days I will find the damn Wizard who created them and show him what re-engineering of someone's genetics can do to him. After the surly and rude patrol left us to continue I started to feel shivers up and down my spine. I couldn't explain it. Was it some sort of Saristan warning sense that I had grown into? About three hours later I realised what it was ... we were heading to a city FULL of wrinklies.
The city look as if it was built using their wrinkled skin as a street map. Random patterns and buildings, with no obvious method of structure except for the door colours. I pulled my cloak up tightly around my head and hunkered down onto my Equus, keeping silent until we reached the Office of the Watch. Here we gave report of the attack and the group that he claimed allegance to. We also gained information on an appropriate inn for us to stay at. Finally, some civilised entertainment.
Locating the place was essentially impossible were it not for the intervention of fate. Even then, the inn-keep decided to try and exact a ransom for our accommodations. My Saristan trading abilities came to the fore here, with a little further application of luck, and we received a reduced fee. I detest these wrinkly, money hungry folk. One thing is to be ugly, you can't help that, but being greedy in addition makes you just plan festering in my eyes. Settling into the inn we enjoyed the evening of entertainment from a musician.
Ha Bibi displayed his skill at music by putting on a duelling show with the resident musician, while I performed acrobatic moves for the crowd. And then she walked in. I had no idea what a lesbian looked like before this evening. She was a perfect specimen of atheleticism, and at first I thought she would appreciate attention from a male such as myself regarding her physique. But slowly I came to realise that she was indeed batting for the opposite side. What a waste of woman, perhaps I can get to watch.
With that we turned in for the night.
